Pre-Pay Telephony
We provide a pre-pay telephony service that ensures your customers pay in advance for their use of any phone services you provide by means of our network and systems.
There are two main ways of doing this:
1. Maintenance of an "Account Balance".
2. pre-paid calling cards
Account Balance Method
When services are created for use by a customer the account in which those services reside is set to "Pre-Pay" The customer is required to pay an amount of money directly into that account using a Credit or Debit Card.
All authorized amounts are automatically and immediately added to the remaining account balance so retaining the account in credit.
This method of payment is available at all times and is fully automated. A payment receipt can be e-mailed to the customer automatically following the authorization and serves as a record of that transaction.
Once the account balance is zero no calls will be allowed that cost money and the chargeable call in progress will be cut off. Please note that calls which earn money from the use of a revenue earning number will continue uninterrupted.
Pre Paid Calling Cards
This method is derived from the use of Calling Cards which are usually used to make calls by means of a secondary dial tone service. This is one in which the caller rings the access number designated for that calling card, enters an account number and possibly a PIN and , if correctly entered with some credit remaining on the card, will allow the caller to dial the number they wish to call.
The card need not have a pre-determined value because it can have any chosen value loaded on to it by the cardholder at any time. They are, however unique to your service and consequently cannot be used with any other service.
The Calling Card value is depleted at the prevailing tariff rate until it is exhausted, at which point the call will be cut off.
Using our system, the calling card value can be topped up automatically over the phone using a credit card for any chosen amount.
If the Calling Card is associated with a pre-paid account, then it will be able to use the account balance remaining on that account. In this scenario multiple Calling Cards can be utilized if a number of different people need to use them, such as a family group or business.
Credit Card Payments
Any payments that are made are processed so that we acquire the payments and once each month distribute revenue shares that have been earned in each service from that revenue. Please note that account balances are retained on trust for the customer and revenues are only distributed from those calls that are made in each month.
We use "MasterCard Secure Code" and "Verified by Visa" to ensure any Credit Card Transactions are as genuine as they can be.
Statistics
Our real-time billing and call logging will provide you with comprehensive information about the status of your services, call volumes and durations, monthly reports, and other call data. You can even download the data and analyse it any time you choose to do so.
Our monthly reports are the basis on which payments are made.
Number Ranges
Different number types are available to suit different applications and requirements including the use of a "short code" rather than using a full number sequence. Short codes can only be used from BT landlines.
Tariffs
We can construct tariffs at agreed rates for any or all destinations.
